Crucible of Origins: a new PvE mode

We are opening a new PvE mode that we have been polishing for months. Every run in the Crucible of Origins is different: you decide for yourself what your character turns into by the finish.

171upgrade cards
9boss waves
1-3players per run
100best runs in the ranking

Upgrade cards

At every new level you pick one of three random cards. The mode holds 171 cards across five rarity tiers, from common to mythic:

  • 29 attacking skills;
  • 50 evolutions for level 10 skills: the Sage and Demon paths change the mechanics of a skill completely;
  • 90 passives, buffs and summons;
  • 2 unique modifiers.

Nine boss waves

The waves follow the reputation missions from 19 to 99, and the difficulty grows from the Mortal World to Primordial Chaos. In the final stages the bosses come out one per minute: the trick is to take them apart before a critical mass piles up.

A living arena between waves

Between bosses the arena lives on its own: enemy spawns and their density follow the pace of the fight, and in the hottest moments dozens of targets are on the map at once.

Shrines of five colours and different rarity appear on the location, and every colour gives its own bonus. Catching the right shrine at the right moment is sometimes worth more than finishing off another boss.

Its own branch in the Skill Atlas

Seven passives affect the Crucible only:

  • a reroll of the offered cards;
  • a chance to survive a lethal blow;
  • banning an unwanted card from your offers;
  • starting a run at level five;
  • increased experience;
  • a higher chance of mythic cards;
  • freezing a card you like until the next draw.

Three ways in

  • Solo. Instant entry into a private instance.
  • Your own squad. A group of 2-3 players put together in advance.
  • Matchmaking. Automatic pairing with everyone else who wants a run.

Chronicle, ranking and rewards

Every run is saved with all its stats, the build you collected and the rewards: you can return to any of them and see what exactly worked. The best runs go into the overall top 100 for each class.

A run gives experience, spirit, gold, silver, reputation and crafting resources for forms of different levels. The longer you hold out and the harder the stage you beat, the more you get. Skill Atlas bonuses and experience books work here too.

Come solo or bring friends: no two runs will be the same.
